CHARLOTTE, NC – The Retail Solutions Provider Association (RSPA) is pleased to announce that Jim Roddy will be joining the team as the Vice President of Marketing.
Jim has been a long-time contributor to our community, serving in a variety of roles since becoming active in the Association in 2007. Jim’s experience as a Board Member, Executive Committee Member, and Chairman of the Board (2014-15) will bring a unique and valuable perspective to the team. He has also been an active volunteer, serving as Marketing Committee Chair, Vendor Working Group Chair, and Membership Committee Co-Chair, as well as an active member of the Education and Certification Committee. As one of the more impactful speakers and moderators at RSPA events, Jim continues to leave a lasting impact on all.
“Jim is a unique talent and will help our team expand and accelerate our success as we focus on member value, industry positioning, and organizational strength,” expressed RSPA President and CEO, John Kirk.
Jim will lead our team’s core marketing motion and work closely with Chris Arnold and our extended team to build demand creation programs, position marketing efforts, and enhance RSPA brand awareness.
After joining WorldPay in 2016, Jim launched and led a business advisory program. He worked with VARs, ISVs, and MSPs to help uncover opportunities to improve the customer and team member experience. This comprehensive motion included coaching as a guide to operationalize improvements. His experience will serve as a valuable tool in his new role as the RSPA continues to evolve as a high-value, low-cost consultant, working on behalf of all members.
In 1998, he was named Managing Editor for Business Solutions Magazine. He was elevated to operations manager in 2002 and then served as President/General Manager from 2006-16.
Jim is a graduate of Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania, where he was a walk-on member of the men’s basketball team for four years and sports editor of the student newspaper for three years.
“The RSPA community is very special to me, and I’m thrilled for the opportunity to serve the members in this new role. I’m eager to continue learning from them and I’m happy to accelerate their success any way I can. I look forward to engaging with as many members as possible on the phone, online, and in person at RetailNOW.” said new RSPA VP of Marketing, Jim Roddy.
The addition of Jim Roddy is another important step as we expand on our community impact by deploying professionals with strong front-line experience along with a sincere desire to serve RSPA members.
Please join us in congratulating Jim and welcoming him to our RSPA HQ Team. Jim will make a difference. The best is ahead.
