Inspire 2022 Raises Over $4,000 for the RSPA Scholarship Fund

CHARLOTTE, NC – The Retail Solutions Providers Association (RSPA) is pleased to announce that the RSPA Community raised more than $4,000 for the RSPA Scholarship Program at Inspire 2022, January 23-26 in Clearwater Beach, FL.

The funds were raised through a variety of methods. Due to inclement weather, the Inspire Fishing & Dolphin-Watching Cruise networking excursion was canceled. Instead of accepting the monetary refund for their excursion purchases, many members of the RSPA community elected to donate the refunds to the scholarship program – raising nearly $3,000.

The RSPA also held a friendly competition among Inspire 2022 attendees to raise proceeds for the scholarship fund. Attendees purchased raffle tickets for a chance to be named RSPA Hall of Fame

Member and avid RSPA Scholarship Program supporter Ann Maynard’s “Favorite RSPA Member.” Each ticket cost $10, and the RSPA raised nearly $400 from this raffle.

The raffle winner was Mike Patel of JMSC POS. The Maynards were unable to attend Inspire in person, but when Ann and her husband B.J. Maynard heard about the community’s efforts, they offered to donate $500 to the RSPA Scholarship Program. In response to the Maynards’ donation, Patel generously elected to match their donation of $500.

Since the inception of the Scholarship Program, the RSPA has awarded nearly $3 million to families of RSPA reseller members. Employees of reseller members and their families can apply for scholarships to help ease the costs associated with higher education. The 2022-23 scholarship application period is open until Monday, May 31, 2022.
