RSPA Concludes Successful Stateside INSPIRE® Event

SAN DIEGO, CA”Three exciting days of executive education concludes today, with a final education session showcasing not only INSPIRE 2016’s Professor-in-Residence, Dr. Robert J. Bies (Georgetown University McDonough School of Business) but Jonathan Perelman, digital marketing executive, formerly of Google and Buzzfeed, and current digital initiatives leader at ICM Partners. Both speakers helped attendees understand the importance of storytelling, and applying it as a leadership strategy for interactions with both their own teams as well as their customers.

Through lively group discussions, the use of multimedia presentations, and an energetic teaching style, Bies built a feeling of community amongst attendees throughout each day of INSPIRE education. With such class “projects as the Young Chickens in Space project (which challenged event attendees’ engineering skills) and the Killer App project (which tapped into the inner developer of the session-goers), the executives in the room were consistently challenged to think differently, to apply innovation, and to welcome varied perspectives. The open discussion in the INSPIRE “classroom has been both informative, and eye-opening for the industry thought leaders and innovators gathered in San Diego for four days of the annual event.

The Closing Brunch, featured an appearance by California Secretary of State Alex Padilla, who spoke to INSPIRE event attendees about his newest initiative, a mission to provide voting information to consumers via printed transaction receipts.

Both long-time and newcomer INSPIRE attendees attest to the unparalleled networking and connection opportunities found at INSPIRE: replete with receptions and member functions, as well as spacious resort accommodations and entertaining excursions, attendees are able to link up in both formal and unconventional settings.

The RSPA is excited by the momentum being built at INSPIRE 2016. The challenge to innovate, collaborate, and to tell great stories is a phenomenal way to propel RSPA members into a new year, full of possibility. It’s never too early to plan for next year’s INSPIRE, which will be held at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino from January 29-February 1, 2017.
