NCC Partners with CRS to Educate and Prepare Resellers for QIR Certification

Greenville, SC – National Computer Corporation (NCC), a leading developer of retail and restaurant point of sale software is working with CRS, an importer and wholesale POS equipment distributor, to prepare resellers for the QIR (Qualified Integrators & Resellers) Certification. There is a lot of confusion surrounding VISA’s requirement that merchants must use PCI certified solutions providers for POS application and terminal installation and integration as of January 2017. What’s more, the deadline for software resellers to get certified is January 31st, 2017. With this in mind, NCC is working with CRS, Vantiv Integrated Payments, and Discover to clear up the confusion and prepare their resellers.

What is QIR Certification?
QIR certification reassures customers that their resellers are knowledgeable about the principles and practices for secure installation and upkeep of validated payment applications that support PCI DSS compliance. Resellers who are QIR Qualified have participated in the Qualified Integrators & Resellers course and have passed the certification exam. This means they have had the best training possible on how to install Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS)-validated payment applications into merchant environments in a way that follows PCI Data Security Standard and Compliance.
Merchants will have complete confidence that their payment systems were installed properly and in accordance with PCI compliance standards.

How is NCC helping their authorized Resellers get QIR Certified?
NCC, with the help of CRS, has scheduled a QIR training and exam day as a pre-cursor to their two-day-long annual Reseller Conference in March. On March 16th, NCC will be holding a refresher course and providing two exam opportunities for resellers. “NCC has long believed that merchants are best positioned for success when they partner with a local, value added reseller, and this becomes even more important with the new data security measures in our industry, said Chuck Prince, President of NCC. “NCC supports our authorized resellers by providing continued education and assisting them in obtaining and maintaining industry certifications.
