Earlier this fall the PCI Security Standards Council revised the QIR qualification requirements. Revisions included requiring only one trained employee for the company to become certified and an agreement that is less than 2 ½ pages long and removes much of the language that was a concern in the past. Bob Goldberg has shared that “The agreement has been substantially reduced and is fair to both Parties. The agreement should no longer stand in the way of a Reseller pursuing this program.”
Recently VISA released a bulletin announcing new small merchant data security requirements. The first deadline for this requirement is March 31, 2016 and will have a significant impact on the reseller/integrator community.
RSPA is committed to accelerating the success of our members and as the industry evolves we feel it is important to help our members adapt to the rapidly changing environment. As such, we shared in August that RSPA had negotiated a deeply discounted rate of $75 per individual for RSPA members to access the QIR training and certification. Previously only available through the end of this year, we are pleased to now share that this pricing will be available until January 31, 2016, at which time it will increase substantially. We are encouraging ALL RSPA Members who wish to obtain this certification to do the following before January 31st:

- Follow the steps to register at the company level and the individual level
- In the pricing section for the individual level enter the promo code RSPA75
- Be sure to use the code above to receive the special RSPA pricing; this price is only good until January 31, 2016. However, as long as you register before 1/31/16, you will receive this pricing and will then have 90 days from the day of registering to complete the training and exam.
Once you have earned the certification, please submit a copy of your completion to Education@GoRSPA.org and we will add you to the RSPA Certified listing on the RSPA website.
